Richmond party spaces, from Point Richmond to Hilltop

In the central and southern neighborhoods, including the Annex and the Iron Triangle, many houses are single-story homes on fairly flat lots with a fenced backyard of moderate size. Those yards generally take one inflatable along with a seating area. Point Richmond is hillier and older, with tighter lots and steeper driveways, so measuring the usable flat space matters more there.

Marina Bay is mostly townhomes and condos with small patios and shared green areas, which means HOA rules often decide what can be set up and where. Up near Hilltop, newer homes tend to have compact rear yards and wider driveways. Parks such as Nicholl Park and the lawns along the Marina Bay shoreline give families more room when the house cannot.

Matching rentals to Richmond homes and parks

A compact castle bounce house is the dependable choice for a typical Richmond backyard, leaving room for a cake table and a few chairs for adults. When the party moves to a park lawn with plenty of open grass, a combo bounce house with a slide becomes realistic and keeps older kids busy for longer stretches of the afternoon.

For a townhome patio or a condo common room, soft play and ball pits are easier to accommodate than an inflatable, and they are well suited to toddlers. Kids-size tables and chairs fit on small patios and give the youngest guests their own space, while a separate group of standard chairs works for teens who would rather not sit at the little tables.

Getting set up in Richmond: wind, HOAs and access

The shoreline neighborhoods, especially Marina Bay and Point Richmond, catch steady wind off the bay on many afternoons. Inflatables do best in a spot sheltered by a building or a fence, and a morning start can help on breezier days. Inland areas tend to be calmer and warmer, though still subject to the occasional gust.

If you live in a townhome community, check with your HOA about inflatables and shared spaces before booking, and let us know where we can park and unload. For any setup, we need a flat, level area plus an outlet within reach, or a generator at a park. Richmond park reservations go through the city, so check with its parks department ahead of time.

Good to know

Richmond party rental questions

We live in a Marina Bay townhome. Can we have a bounce house?

It depends on your patio size and your HOA. Many Marina Bay patios are too small for an inflatable, and some associations restrict them in common areas. Soft play and a ball pit fit more easily, or you can host at a nearby shoreline park with a generator for power.

How windy does it get for a party near the Richmond shoreline?

Point Richmond and Marina Bay are often breezier than neighborhoods further inland, and the wind typically builds through the afternoon. Pick a setup spot shielded by the house or a fence, and consider an earlier start. If gusts become strong, inflatables should be taken down for safety.

Which Richmond parks work for a kids party?

Nicholl Park and Marina Bay Park both have grass areas that suit a group of kids, and Miller/Knox Regional Shoreline near Point Richmond has picnic areas and lawns. Plan on a generator for any inflatable, and check with the city's parks department, or the regional park district for Miller/Knox, about reservations.

How much is delivery to Richmond?

Delivery to Richmond is $80. You are about 20 miles from our Oakland warehouse, and that falls inside our flat-rate zone, so the fee is the same $80 whether you book one item or a full setup. The fee covers the round trip, setup when we arrive and collection afterwards. It is calculated from your exact address at checkout, so the figure you see is the figure you pay.

Is setup included, or do I put it up myself?

Setup is included. We deliver to your Richmond address, position and set up everything, and come back to collect it at the end of your window. You do not assemble anything, and there is no separate labour charge.

How far ahead should I book?

Online bookings need at least 7 days of notice, and you can book up to 12 months ahead. In practice Richmond weekends in spring and summer go early, so booking three to six weeks out gives you the best choice of dates and items. Nothing is held without a deposit, so the date is only yours once that is paid.

What deposit do you take, and what if I need to cancel?

A 50% deposit and a signed rental agreement reserve your items. The balance is due one week before the event, and bookings made inside that week are paid in full up front. If you need to move the date for weather, illness or anything else, your payment transfers to the new date subject to availability. If you cancel outright, the payment becomes in-house credit you can use for up to 18 months.

Can I choose an exact delivery time?

Standard delivery and collection are one-hour arrival windows, which lets us route the day's Richmond runs efficiently. If your venue or party schedule needs a precise time, you can add a guaranteed exact-time slot for $100 at checkout and we build the route around it.

Can I keep the rentals overnight?

Yes. Same-day collection is standard, and an overnight or next-morning pickup is $75. It is worth considering for an evening party in Richmond, since it takes the pressure off the end of the event and we collect the following day instead.

Which parts of Richmond do you cover?

All of Richmond, including Point Richmond, Marina Bay, Richmond Annex, Hilltop, Iron Triangle, Parchester Village and Richmond Heights, plus the surrounding East Bay. The delivery fee is the same across the city, so where you are inside Richmond does not change the price.
